and it just follows the major scale pattern so aolan the minor is 10 12 13568 the loan 12 13568 10 and back to 12 another uh way of looking at it visualizing it major scale I 1 3 5 6 8 10 12 notice the Triad of 158 the major cord is embedded into the major scale so this is why music follows certain core patterns say someone writes a song and most songs are written either in major or minor most songs are written in minor but we we'll do the major example here I start a song I I have to follow these patterns for the human brain to call it music it's just the way it works don't have to but it's uh makes pop songs so we play the first chord of Our Song is going to be a major then we want to play another chord if we play the next chord on the third tone it has a 1 148 the purple the 3 to six is a four tones and 6 to 10 is another five tones depends how you count it it's a 148 pattern fridge the next chord we play five the 58 12 so that's how strong songs are structured notice how the sixth and eighth chords have to be major obviously the minor scale has a minor chord embedded in a 148 pattern and locan it's one of the odd ones out it just doesn't have the eight in it I guess the best way to demonstrate this is Major then we have to go to minor for the third minor for the fifth major for the sixth major for the eighth minor for the 10th and then well we can kind of fake it with either a major or a minor for the 12 and we're back on the 13th fret or the 13th position to a major that's how songs are written becomes very easy to make all this happen all right so I guess look the 12 scale is called the diminish scale I'm not going to get into uh augmented and uh diminish chords here it's just a matter of moving one of the tones either way in a chord in a but I will get into the other scales minor scale which we saw is 10 12 13 3 5 6 8 10 the harmonic minor is another scale which the human brain perceives it's played as a 10 12 1 35 69 10 pattern the melodic minor is made as the 10 12 1 3 5 7 9 10 pattern there is one more prominent scale in the western music most nobody using the song title I want you back as recorded by Jackson 5 there's that five again obviously the people who control the Jackson 5 were uh gang bangers it was also utilized in the day I try to live by Sound Garden it is a combination of the minor harmonic minor melodic minor scales and the blues note or tone number four so minor harmonic minor and melodic minor and the blues note when added together create this rare scale and that's this scale is used cleverly in both those songs all right now for musical notation I don't have access to tens of thousands of people to see how we can write down music on sheet of paper which makes it most readable there are a number of ways but I know that just writing line after line after line creates a heap of confusion which doesn't work there needs to be a space between the lines like I showed here how can we represent A9 or what is called middle C right now by Uh current standards I don't know in the top is a pattern of three lines than a space and a line This does differentiate for the brain we write the nodes with the between the space with the line through them but I don't know if that's the best way in the middle I have two different examples on the green note on the left hand side would be say our middle CR or a the next note would be in my notation A B C D E F G H I J K L and then a again or we can start the a in between the two lines I'm not sure what the best way is it looks like I missed the lines in some of these examples but I don't I don't know how I would what's the best way is going forward this would have to be done through research and obviously the status quo would never allow this reality to take
